Ahhh. I haven't done one of these in a long time. I plan on making getting back into the swing of blogging. That means all my random shizz is making a come back lol. So, let's get started! 

UPDATE

lol. I'll keep this short and sweet. I'm currently not in school this semester, I thought I'd take a semester off and do me. Work on me and what not. And you would think not being in school would mean more time for reading, right? *sigh* nope. HARDLY! *lets out a little sob* lol

I did finish last semester with a bang though. I started off with a Cum. GPA of 3.33 and ended the semester with a 3.20 Pretty great right? I only took two classes, Accounting and Macroeconomics (gag) I passed Acct. with an A *happy dancing* and skated by in Macro with a C. I ain't gonna complain, I thought it would be lower, that class was a pain in my tush! But, I pulled through and managed a C. Which then dropped my Cum. GPA, but that's okay. I'm still in the 3.0 range and I'm happy with that :) 

YouTube Whore

Yes, I've got more YouTube faves and I thought I would share them with you :) First up... nigahiga. Have y'all heard of him? No, ahh he's funny. I love his videos! Here are a few faves. :)

Lol! Yes, you read that right :p For those of you living under a rock. Twinkies died with Hostess and have been resurrected with Little Debbie. So, all you Twinkie lovers out there, don't be sad. Twinkies are still here! lol.  Just thought I'd throw in a super-duper-fat indulging topic here :p

WHERE THE HELL I'VE BEEN

So, I'm sure a lot of you have noticed that I've been MIA for a while. There's a great explanation for that. Well... maybe not great lol. But, you get the point. Anywho...Most of you know I started school back in August and I knew my schedule was gonna change SLIGHTLY but I did NOT think it would change DRAMATICALLY! *sigh* Schools pretty much keeping me busy. I only have classes on Mondays & Wednesdays and you would think to be seeing me around on my off days right? WRONG! lol. Studying and homework take up a chunk of my blogging time. So now my blogging time has been handed over to my reading time. I joined a whole bunch of tours a few months ago and didn't realize that I was an idiot and scheduled them so close together, so you'll be seeing a lot of blog tour reviews. School isn't the only thing taking up my precious time. I've had a few blog design requests and that's kept me busy as well. I squeeze in reading whenever I can, so blogging has come to a complete halt. Which sucks, I know. But you gotta do what cha gotta do, right? I do plan on making a complete 180 and start posting daily like I used to & start joining in on the weekly meme's that I've been missing out on. AND visiting you awesome bloggers! HAVE NO FEAR!! ANA IS HERE! lol. I've got a lot of ideas that have been roaming around in my head and I plan on executing them starting Oct. 1st! I hope to be back and get things up and running again. 

SCHOOL UPDATE

Ahh. Like I said above, school has been taking up a lot of my time. I'm at school from 3:30pm - 10pm on Mondays and 3:30 - 6pm on Wednesdays. It's not a lot, but it is tiresome. So far, I've had 2 homework assignments and have got full credit on those (does happy dance) lol. I've had one quiz for my accounting class, which I get back on Monday *crossing fingers* I hope I passed that one with flying colors, because it seemed really, really, REALLY easy. I've had 6 lab assignments and am averaging a 9.3/10 on those. So, that's great right? *sigh* When I started school I thought Macroeconomics was going to be really easy and Accounting was going to be a bit of a struggle for me... well, its the exact OPPOSITE! I am sooooo friggin' lost in Macro its insane! I sit there, take notes and read the book, but for the life of me I still don't get it! When we start doing math and what not, I get it no problem, but the other stuff? *sigh* I'm a complete doorknob with the other stuff... Accounting? Yeah, I feel a lot more confident in that class. Despite it being a night class, I feel like I understand the material and it's coming really easily to me. Doesn't hurt that my professor is awesome and will stop the lecture in the middle of class and ask what the football scores are that night. lol. 

Well, that's it for my ranting this week. Just wanted to update you guys a but on what's been going on and what not. Hope y'all had an awesome week :)

Okaaaay! Let me tell you guys! I was on YouTube yesterday and I ended up in the alchy's section ;) This immediately made me think of Neyra over @ Darkest Addictions. If you've been following us on Twitter or happen to have super x-ray vision into me & Neyra's emails then you know that about every single one of our tweets/emails has the words "Cheers" or "Shot?" in it *sigh* When guys are being douche bags or life is being a total B!TCH & A HALF we like to turn to our go-to men... JACK & JIM ;) BUT, WAIT! We're not alchy's lmbo.... seriously -___- Okay, well, maybe Neyra is :p Anywho.. so, like I said, I was browsing YouTube and stumbled upon Mamrie Hart's channel "YouDeserveADrink" Fkn' hilarious! Okay, So I just finished making my rounds around the blogosphere.. Commenting here and there and EVERYWHERE! I tend to babble on and on, so SORRY if you received a mini novel from me. I couldn't help myself. Anywho... on to this weeks Random Rants!

SCHOOL IS IN SESSION

*sigh* Yeah... you read the title right, school is back! Unfortunately for us college students (and yes, I do mean UNFORTUNATELY) school starts in August. When in August? TOMORROW! lol. I know, I'm over reacting, I'm not all that upset about it, I've missed school. Really, the work, the lectures, the tests, the stress (believe it or not) and the essays. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be doing any essays this year. WHY? Well, that's because I'm only taking TWO courses (insert sobbing noise here) Yepp, only TWO. I'm taking Macroeconomics and Accounting. So more math and less writing (which sucks, because I love to write) Although, Macro can get a little wordy.

My schedule hasn't been shifted around too much. If you know me, then you know I'm a major NIGHT OWL! Up with the vamps & down with them as well. ;) My courses are only on Monday's and Wednesday's (Thank the laaawd) I usually take the city bus to school, which takes a whoppin' 2 FREAKING HOURS! *sigh* I know, I know, sad right? But, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. So, yeah, like I was saying... It takes me 2 hours to get to school by bus and roughly 30-40 minutes by car (depending on traffic). I both love and hate the timing. LOVE, because I get to read for those two hours & totally block out the noise of the city. HATE, because it's a dang bus.  So, that's a total of 4 hours of transporting. NO BUENO!

I actually only have two classes on Monday & one on Wednesday. Here's my lovely schedule...

Mind the orange boxes, those are just labs, nothing mandatory, but because I have a huuuuuge break in between those two classes, I'll most likely be in the Lab and working on homework (so I don't have to do it at HOME, of course) or reading ^_^  So, see? Not too bad for this college gal ;)

If you're wondering, I am a Business Management major with plans on double majoring in Web Design, or something design for that matter. Everything I learned that concerns designing, is self taught. But, I would love a degree to back me up.

Adding these two courses is a big step for me, not in completing my degree (though that's a big step as well), but working towards taking Honors courses. There are requirements to take Honors courses, so with these two courses, I need to maintain my cumulative GPA which is a 3.33 and or boost it up. WHICH MEANS, I can only get ONE B and ONE A... Actually, I can get B's in both courses, but that means my Cumulative GPA drops a whoppin .22 and I'm not okay with that. But I'll be okay with a B & and A. I can live with that. *shrugs* 

So, yeah. This is the only topic for this weeks Random Rants. Sorry if I bored you with my words ^_^

 DESIGNING LIKE A BO$$

Okay, so... the title for this section is a bit cocky... smh. But I'm in a bossy mood at the moment and I won't bother to change it... Anyway, back on track. I just finished (like a day ago) Sharonda over at Salacious Reads blog design ^_^ I absolutely loved working on her blog. The minute she said she wanted RED as a main color I sat a little straighter in my seat. Red is my fav. color. But don't get me wrong. You won't catch me walking out side flamed up... no siree, not in Long Beach, California. That's just asking for some gangsta to walk up to me & say "Aye, where you from?" Yeah.. then knowing my mouth, I'd reply "My mama's womb" Here I go straying off topic again... Anywho... I had a helluva time designing Sharonda's blog. She wanted sezzy, so by damned I gave her sezzy. Swing on over to Salacious Reads & check out her new do :)

NO-SHOPPING SAY WHAAAAT?

*Sigh* So... lately I've been on a NO-SHOPPING spree. :( Why? Because I'm saving up for the new iPad!! ^_^ So, aside from buying a few books for the few blog hops that I've joined, I'm not spending a dime. My debit card has been locked away cause laaawd knows I'll buy something on impulse -___- I was originally going to get the iPad 2 but then I saw the new iPad & now I want that one... $500 bucks??? OH.MY.GOSH. my goal just jumped a good $300 bucks. WTF! So.. I've been saving for about a month now and I've saved $74.54 Pretty good right? 425 dollars and some change & then I'll be able to buy my preeeeciousssss. hehe. I'm really not liking this no-shopping thing. I'm going nuts!  But it's worth it, cause I can't stand reading any more eBooks on my comp anymore. I love my comp and all, she's a beauty, but it just ain't comfortable. (yes.. my comp is a she... and she's really sensitive...lol)  You know what sucks most about this dang No-Shopping crap? URBAN DECAY is having a frkn SALE!!! *sobs* Seriously though, if you're a makeup lover then I suggest you check out their website now! I ♥ Urban Decay. Their palettes are expensive, but with this sale you can get a $40 palette for $12-16 great deal right? Yeah, I thought so too.

Wheeew. Okay, This is a bit late, today was a purrrty busy day, but I'm posting now  ^_^

 ELOTES

Ahh. I absolutely love Elotes. What are Elotes you ask? Well, I'll tell ya! Elotes is the Mexican name for corn on the cob. It's a popular street food in Mexico.... and SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! xD Seriously, you can't go 5 blocks without running into your local elote lady/guy ^_^ Well, every Sunday we go to the laundry mat to you know, wash laundry >.< And there's a lady that lives next door to the laundry mat and she sells elotes... *sigh* best elote I've ever had. It's pretty simple to make, but everytime I make it, I swear it just doesn't come out as great as this ladies!! So she slathers mayonnaise on your corn, then she sprinkles a shit load of Parmesan cheese over that, then she'll ask if you want chili powder... and your answer should be YES!! always yes! hehe. Then she'll ask if you want butter... now it's good with or without the butter, but today I had butter ^_^ laaawd I'll be working that off tomorrow >.< but it was so worth it.. It's messy as hell so make sure you have tons of napkins with you :)

FAMILY**This is me trying to share a little bit about my private life with you all :)**

I absolutely love my family. This past week, I took a lil trip  (seriously... little trip. Took all of 7 min to get there) to visit my babies! Not MY babies, lol, but my lil cousins. There's 6 of them and they're all little runts! The eldest is 14 and the youngest just turned 1 a few months ago. Since they were babies, I've been taking care of them.. Mind you, when the eldest was born I was 7, but she will always be a baby in my eyes. So that means, when I see her texting up a storm to some boy, best believe I will confiscate that phone and make her play with dolls! xD lol. kidding. *sigh* they grow up so fast. Anywho, every time I visit, they just come bounding out the house and into my arms screaming "Ana's here!!" Why, yes! I left my book world behind and decided to visit you monsters! I'm just gonna keep this short and share a few videos of my youngest monster! Her name is Ezette Khaylee, but we call her Znoni or Baby Noni.

NO, that isn't me laughing at her. I wasn't there that day. My sister is recording, she tends to shoot footage of the monsters when she goes to visit them.

Boo Boo = Stupid. If you can hear her, Baby Noni says "Boo Boo" after the fire crackers scare her ^_^ She's so adorable.

AURORA, COLORADO SHOOTING 

When I first heard about the shooting, I was completely shocked. I couldn't believe it happened. Later that night when I got on the computer, I looked up the story and was reading it. Can you believe it? A THEATER! My God. I am completely saddened by this. I was watching a few of the videos on yahoo and I couldn't help but cry. All these people wanted to do was watch a movie! I am now very hesitant to go to a theater. I know, this shouldn't scare us into not living our lives, but you can't help but be scared of what's out there. I think we should still live our lives and live it as best we can because we honestly don't know when we'll take our last breath. I won't go much into this one, I just wanted to share my thoughts with you guys.

WHY I HAVEN'T BEEN POSTING 

If you're follower and have noticed I haven't been posting very much, then I am very grateful you noticed my absence! lol. But seriously, I have hardly been posting this week. I only posted two posts and one of them was just a "And The Winners Are..." post. I still got on blogger and commented on a few blogs and worked on a few designs but I couldn't write my posts. And I tried. I started, but I couldn't think and just exited everything. This week has been a rough one for me, in which I just wanted to stay in bed all day and stuff my face with Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Hershey's chocolate, chocolate cake and watch extremely happy movies with happy endings to make me HAPPY! But, because I have been eating very healthy for the past month and because I have willpower that will outlast hell frozen over, I just moped and moped and moped. Oh, yeah. I moped some more. But, I'm pulling myself out of my pity party & putting on my big girl panties. I've got an ever growing pile of books that need to be reviewed and I feel like I've neglected the blogs that I visit on a daily basis. SORRY!! You'll see more of me and my "♥" signature very soon :)

SCHOOL 

Ahhh, I find myself very impatient when it comes to school. I'm going back to school to finish up my degree to get my AA and I can't register for classes until the 22ed at 9pm!! Nine freaking PM! Laaawd help me now. You're all probably thinking, "Why the hell is she so excited about school?" lol. Well to assuage your curiosity, I'm more or less excited because I love school, yeah... right. Here's the real reason. I feel like I've fallen so behind. Most of my friends have graduated with their BA's and are either going back to school for their Masters or taking a breather from the books. A few of my friends have graduated from a Junior College with their AA's and are now transferred to a 4year University and are well on their way to getting their Bachelors degree. *sigh* I have been in and out of school since I graduated high school (Which was back in '08 mind you) My first year of college I ended up withdrawing from all of my classes because I couldn't pay for the books and laaawd knows you definitely need those books to keep up to pass the class. Plus, I had gotten my very first job and was putting half of my pay checks away to pay for my books the next semester. Well, let's just say that didn't happen (the saving up part) Things happen, family happens and you end up just as broke as the day you were before you started working. So anyway, the reason behind my being in and out of school is because of financial issues. Now, I don't want to make this a huge ass post, although it seems to just be getting longer and longer the more my fingers fly over this dang keyboard. So, let me just say this before y'all start thinking that I haven't tried everything. I don't qualify for financial aid, as my parents make too much money, I used to qualify for the BOG fee waiver (free tuition) until my mom got a raise at work and then that went out the window. I've applied for more scholarships than I can count. I've applied for so many jobs, waited the six months, and applied to those same places again and I'm still applying to more jobs. A week or so ago I turned in 12 applications for CVS at 4 different locations and for 3 different positions. You would think living in California there would be a shit load of jobs open, but nope. I have yet to find one. So needless to say, I'm finally going back to school and I am gonna try and knock out this AA degree by next summer and transfer out to a 4 year university to work on my Bachelors. I hope to be working on my masters by 24... that sound's good right? I sure hope so.

Soryy for such a long post. But, I kept it to just one topic for today :)

ZUMBAAAA!

Just recently I've been going to Zumba classes. And it's pretty danged fun. I'm not so new to dancing, but laaaawd the instructors know how to speed up the pace xD Needless to say, it's only $5.00 a class or you can buy the monthly membership for $75.00 which isn't too bad. I go 3 times a week so that's $15.00  I know, I'd rather spend that $15.00 on books, but these Zumba classes are now an essential part of my daily routine (well, every other daily routine hehe). It really doesn't even feel like working out but you sure do sweat a lot. The music keeps you pumped & you can't help but get into it and let go :) Oh BTW the classes are nothing and I repeat, NOTHING, like the classes. Classes are way better IMO.

THRIFTING! 

Wheeew. My sister is a big time thrifter. She loves going to the goodwill and other thrift stores and get stuff. At first, I was like "Oh hell no! People wore that!!" (yeah, my high maintenance ass) That should be past tense now. I've learned to love thrifting. Here's my reasons....

♥Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!
♥Most thrift store's have books
♥The clothes aren't half bad.

Seriously, you can find a bunch of stuff at thrift store for cheap... So, with that being said. here are some of my purchases from thrift stores.  

Okay.. The basket has a minor flaw and that flaw would be the fact that it's previous owner had wrote "FRITZ" on both front and back. But, that didn't stop me from buying it. It was only 50¢!!! It's a good size to store a bunch of little knickknacks. I keep my little sewing kit in there, along with pictures and fabrics.

SEE! BOOKS! For really cheap too! I can't tell you I remember how much I bought Never Tell by Selena Mongomery or Things I Want My Daughters to Know by Elizabeth Noble for, but I can assure you that they were both under $2.00 McKettrick's Pride by Linda Lael Miller & rhymes with witches by Lauren  Myracle, I bought for a total of .80¢ Pretty damned cool huh?  Burned by P.C. & Kristin Cast and City of Bones by Cassandra Clare I bought for a total of $8.00 from Goodwill.

Belt's... well these belts I believe were a dollar a piece. They're really cool & fun :)

TUTTI FRUTTI 

Aaaahhhh! Okay, I love, love, love frozen yogurt! When I first heard of it I was like "Eeeewwww gross! It's yogurt!" Rest assured, I was completely proven wrong. I know the name of it is Tutti Frutti, but I never get the fruity flavors or the fruity toppings. I'm a plain kinda girl & so every time I go, I get chocolate & vanilla with chocolate chip & cheesecake toppings. 

Mine is on the right..  My sister on the other hand, always gets all the fruity stuff lol. She swears it's good.

NACHOS!! 

Oh yummy. I love nachos. These weren't the best nachos I've had because I had this idiotic idea to order the ground beef nachos knowing damn well I always order chicken... well yeah, see what happens to me when I venture out.. nonetheless I just had to post about nachos, because I love it! lol.

Wow.. this entire post was about food. Good lawd, how fat-ass of me :) oh well.. Who the hell doesn't love food? Plus, tomorrow I'm going on a diet... so :( no more yummy food. lol.

 SHRIMP CHIPS & ARIZONA GREEN TEA

I love, love, LOVE shrimp chips... the bag says crackers... but, they're not crackers! lol.. But yes! Love those and ARIZONA GREEN TEA! I won't drink any other Arizona drink besides Green Tea. So... When my birthday comes up... you know what to get me hehe ;)

OTIS & RUBY

Otis and Ruby are our two doggies! They are Chipins! Chihuahua & Miniature Pinscher's. I love these dogs! They're little monsters!! lol. Otis has the habit of coming into my room and trying to jump in my bed with me... Which makes me get up and take him all the way back downstairs and twenty minutes later he's knocked down all the barricades and comes trotting back up to my room. He does this like 3 times a night... laaawd. Ruby on the other hand is independent and relaxed. She'll just be chillin' not giving a care in the world while Otis follows us around all over the place lol.

TRUE BLOOD

YES! I am now a fan of True Blood.. Well, I wouldn't say fan just yet... I started watching it earlier this week & I am 4 episodes into season 1. So far.... I like it :) I didn't read the books, which was mostly why I was so hesitant to watch the series. For me, if I watch the series/movie before I read the books, then I  wont ever read the books. BUT, I'll read the books and watch the series/movie. No problem! I guess I'm weird like that...

CANDY LEI'S

This week was graduation week here in So-Cal... Let me just say...I am so tired of 3 hour ceremonies! Goodness. But nevertheless I am soooo proud of my family members and all of you other graduates that graduated this year! Congrats!! So.. What does candy lei's have to do with this ? Or... More importantly... What the heck are candy lei's? Well.. Let me explain. Candy Lei's have been somewhat of a tradition that we Polynesian's make for special occasions. You are more then likely to see them at graduations (if by chance, the graduation you are attending has Polynesians attending) Candy Lei's are easy to make but are extremely time consuming! Below is a picture of my sister at her graduation (class of 2011) I hope she doesn't mind me using her pic, but I couldn't find mine :( ... Anywho... This photo is the result of hard work! and 30+ candy lei's! If you all really like this, and want to try and make some for upcoming graduations that you will be attending or for next year, let me know & I'll be happy to write a post tutorial on how to make them!! BOBA UPDATE!

 I went back to that donut shop and snapped a picture of the boba chart... and ordered me a boba hehe...Click the photo to enlarge... I highlighted the names of the one's I tried.. and put an X over the one's I didn't like. lol

Random Rants is a weekly post I am starting that I will post on Sundays. I will be ranting about things I loved or didn't love from the past week...these rants do not pertain to books.

SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN

Last Sunday 6/3 I went to watch Snow White & The Huntsman with my sister and a few of her friends. I gotta say, I loved it! I thought it was really good and despite the biased opinions towards Kristen Stewart, I thought she did a good job. Let me take a minute to just say that Charlize Theron rooooocks as an evil queen! And she is incredibly beautiful *moment of envy* The mirror scene is more bad ass than in the trailers. I will say that I did a lot of comparing from the Twilight movies to SW&TH only because KStew is in it. There are a few scenes where I was like "Holy shiiii- wasn't that in New Moon?" and "Okay, for a minute there I thought she was gonna wake up with red eyes and be a blood sucking fiend!" So in a way, I think it was okay that they cast her as Snow White, cause.... yeah, I was convinced. Let me just say that I am completely disappointed that Chris Hemsworth(The Huntsman) didn't have more skin bearing scenes! All that hotness should not be covered up! It should be against the law!!! Overall, I think it was a great movie & I definitely recommend you to go watch it! :)

BTW, don't you just hate when people talk throughout a movie.. my gawd, I wanted to stand up and say "DUDEEE, STFU!!" But, I bit my tongue. Seriously, they ruined parts of the movie for me. :(

GREY'S ANATOMY

Okay, I know I am compleeeetely late on this one. But I finally caught up with Grey's Anatomy last week & I am just.... WHY?!?!?!!! ahhh. I am... I have no words... just... WHY?! Nevertheless, I am still a devoted fan & will continue to watch. lol.

 

  BOBA!!

 So, my sister and I like to go to the donut shop down the street from out house and we don't even buy donuts lol. We buy boba! What is a boba might you ask? Boba is a "Small, usually black, balls of tapioca used in beverages, which are generally consumed through a large straw; A beverage containing these balls of tapioca." The donut shop has this little picture board with a big variety of boba's. And we've made it a goal to try all of them. My favorite is the Thai Tea Boba! It is reaaaally good. If you haven't tried it, then you are missing out!! Go try it now! hehe...
