Psst...

Hi, guys :) *waves* Prepare yourselves, this post is going to be a bit long...

I know, for a lot of you, you're probably thinking "Holy shit, Ana's actually posting something that isn't a meme about manicures & music or a blog tour review/post" yeah, yeah. Laugh it up now. I know, I've been missing in action from blogging, and there's a really great reason...

You see, what had happened was...In West Long Beach, born and raised, on the playground where I was spending most of my days. Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool and readin' my books outside of the school when a couple of girls that were up to no good, started dissin' the Brothers from the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said, "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Hollywood"...

...Okay...So...Maybe that didn't happen... But I'm pretty sure if that did happen I'd fight to the DEATH! .... okay... maybe not that either... I mean, they're just....fictional characters....right?!?!

Lol. Anywho. In all seriousness, I've been a bit busy. Too busy, actually. I think I need to go on a hiatus. A really, really long one with an ocean view and cabana boys fanning me with oversized leaves and bringing me Sex on the Beach drinks. *nods* Yeah... and I'll take some books with me as well.

If you're following my blog on FB or are my friend on FB, then you'll see me post on there from time to time. I have all the time in the world to post a simple status on FB. I keep telling myself, 'Ana, we're going to write a review today!'.... I go through all the motions too! I turn on the computer, I open Google Chrome, type in blogger.com and right before I click on 'Create New Post' all hell breaks loose!

My FB Messenger starts going crazy and spitting messages out at me from this crazy person named Melissa Mason (LilyElement)... Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding (FB Messenger sounds) And on top of that, I'm logged into Yahoo Messenger, so I'm also receiving email notifications that Melissa Mason has sent me a message on Facebook. Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding (Yahoo messenger sounds)

Ahhh..So, Because the FB Icon on my taskbar is blinking at me, I can't ignore it and click on it... thus revealing the culprit behind my procrastination...

Lol. Love you long time Mel ♥♥♥♥

I've actually been really busy with a lot of design work. It keeps me quite busy and at the end of the day, I'm tired as heck. Also, my home life gets pretty hectic as well. So, yeah. That's what's been keeping me away from blogging. But, I have also found a bit of time to read. My review pile? Yeah, it's grown. I've finished a few books (reading while on the road, really passes the time) and they're just WAITING oh so patiently for me to review them. When I'll do that? I'm not quite sure.

I really don't like to leave my blog all neglected, but a girls gotta do, what a girls gotta do. Right? I'm still scheduled for a lot of tours. As well as book reviews that have been requested, so I'll be getting those in in the next couple of months.

I do plan on having some new reviews up next week, I'll be taking this weekend to just write and schedule my reviews! Lawd knows I need to clear out my review pile as well as my "posts to come" section here (see sidebar). Well, I think that just about covers everything....

Oh, no ... WAIT!
Another thing that has been keeping me quite busy, is writing. Some of you already know I'm writing (co-writing) a book! Yes, yes, *nods* I am—WE ARE! I've gotten a ton of writing done this past week. You'd think with how busy I am, that I wouldn't have time to write. I've actually given myself a sort of forceful push? If you can call it that. I've set out to just sit here and write for an hour a day. Close all the other tabs (except for YouTube/Pandora - Hello! Need some music!), and just get lost in my writing for an hour. And in that hour I can do nothing but write, whether it be one word, one paragraph, or even one page. At least it's something, and I can honestly pat myself on the back and say "you did it!" Yeah, I'm a big procrastinator, if you haven't figured that out by now. But, I have been writing and I can tell you right now, that this past week (5 days), I've written about 19 pages. NINETEEN! Yes! Someone straight slapped my rear and put in me into gear! lol. I know that might not seem like a lot, but I can assure you right now, it's a lot for me. And I'm just ecstatic!

Okay, that's about it. I'm gonna wrap this up, this post has gone on far too long. If you actually read this whole post, then you, my friend, are totally freaking awesome. I commend you for listening to my nonstop babble. ♥♥♥

BYEEEEEE!

  2. Awwwwww, we'll miss you tewrribly! :( If it's one thing I've learned in the last year it's that running a book blog is kinda a full time job, which of course leaves zero time for writing! So, good on you, chicken! Good luck with the book! Just keep at it! It's taken me three years to get to my final edit on my literary baby, but I'm super prone to procrastinisation, you'll be amazed by how much you get written when you turn everything off (but the music, of course) and just keep hitting those keys!
    Keep us updated? =D
