Talking Zombies #21: S04E10 “Inmates”

Welcome back to another zombified week of Talking Zombies with Ana & Sharonda. Today we will be recapping on Sunday nights episode: S04E10 “Inmates”

Ana: *crying with happiness* OMFG! JUDITH! MAGGIE! BETH! DARRYL! GLENN! ughh. ofmg. *sobbing continues*

Sharonda: I screamed when Tyrese turned around and he had Judith.. I screamed so loud. OMG..it was killing me to know if that baby made it. I'M so happy. If I could kiss Tyrese, I would give a big sloppy wet one.

Ana: Let me just state this now, I dislike that little girl. She… omfg. NO! Thank gawd Carrol showed up. I am… ugh. WHEW.

Sharonda: Girl, oh... I can't, just can't with with that kid. I understand what's going on around them...but that..Smh. That I can't deal with...she almost killed Judith. I told ya'll Carol created a little monster. They gonna have to get her off soon or I'm going to have a conniption.

What did you think about Maggie? I felt bad for her and Glenn, who was a total Bad ass...well up until he passed out..lmbo!!

Idk, I can't say I'm excited about them anymore...

Ana: Carol… I think she created a surviver, but she’s turning into a “give no shits” survivor. Like, wtf! She totally zoned out while trying to silence Judith. Honestly if they don’t kill her off something is wrong. They killed of Carol’s daughter!!!

OMFG. Maggie! I feel so bad for her. She’s losing it. Lol @ up until Glenn passed out. I think he just over exerted himself. He was sick, remember? Also, I liked the part where he was all, “I don’t want your help, I need your help.” True words have never been spoken. I feel bad for people who are lead into believing people are that evil and killing an innocent man. LIKE WTF! The govorner wasn’t creepy when you met his ass?

Sharonda: And what about Beth and Daryl?  I liked how they started off with her writing to whoever she was...I wonder who she was talking too?

Ana: I believe she was talking to her diary. Or maybe not? But, I *cough* aheem. I had a diary and I wrote in my diary as if it I were talking to someone loooool *cough* aheeem. ignore this.  lols. Okay, and idk if it was just me, but seeing Beth actually act…. I wasn’t feeling it or buying it. But her crying tho. That was on point xD Tears were seen that night!

As for Darryl. I hope he’s not losing hope. I really don’t. You can see that he’s having a hard time with it just being him and Beth. I can’t wait til they find more of the crew. Seeing Darryl so down is not good or my health!

Sharonda: Daryl looked so lost...Beth got a little backbone eh?  I was like wow..damn Girl. But I think she's keeping him from slipping into crazy or depression. I wanted to hug him...but he needs a dang on bath...hell all of them do...lols.

Ana: Beth was all, “you know what muh fuckkaa, I’m gon’ go look for these people, and you know damn well you ain’t letting me go alone!” lols. Yeah, I agree, I think she’s keeping him sane and not letting him slip into a depression. We don’t need Darryl in a depression. But he is throwing off the “I’m about to give up” vibe. I’d hug him in all his dirty glory and make him shower with me xDDDD lols so kidding… or am I? xD

Sharonda: And then that Tara chick with Glenn..ugh, I was hoping her ass would have gotten bitten or something... damn chicken shit. I think she's going to be around for a minute though. What say you?

Ana: Honestly, I’m glad they kept her. But she’s kind of like… the weak link. Remember how Carol was in the beginning? That’s how she is. Soon enough she’ll build a hard ass exterior and we’ll love her more…. hopefully. I hope they find her sister too. Cause she didn’t die.

What do you think about the new people that showed up on the end? That guy is a hard ass and seems like a jerk though. I am hoping to see where the next epi takes us. Everyone was going in the same direction, just at different times.

Sharonda: Okay..I'll go with your idea that Carol created a survivor..but I'm not letting go of the monster part..that kid is all kinds of creepy. And no I'm not forgetting about your diary, I'm storing that *grins evily*

So true what he said and Tara will be there for a while I think too. We had chris as characters that we hate and then love..so she might be this. I don't know how they didn't know that mofo was all kinds of crazy bit he fooled so many people....

I hope her sister is alive too but I remember her saying she was surrounded by but you never know.

I think we have to get use to Beth having a more of an active role now. She was always in the background so I think she will be Okay. Especially since she has Daryl with her and I'm liking your shower idea a whole lot   :D

Ah..these new folks. I don't know...I mean will they be friend or foe...I think we have some exciting times ahead.

Ana: Haha. But that’s who I think Beth was talking to tho. Or maybe I’m trippin xD

he did fool so many people. It’s upsetting. Like…. muthafucka has an eye patch xD auto don’t trust looool. idk bad judge of character. Easily trust him and then just sleep with the guy smh.

Yeah but I give her props for shooting the governor in the head. Thank gawd they didn’t let him live he prob woulda been the last of the walkers to live xD

haha, I agree. I’m glad Beth is getting more screen time. I liked her in the background but with her more active and getting more lines it ought to be interesting.

I think they’re riding on high horses, but when you’re leading a group of people, it’s hard to let someone come in and try and make decisions. It’s good to hear people out, but it seems as if he’s just looking for “recruits” I dunno. I hope this turns out for the better and they find a different bad guy xD

All in all I thought this epi was super great, what say you?

Sharonda: It was an awesome episode indeed. I’m excited to see what the next episode brings...hell, I’m excited for the whole season!

Ana: I can’t wait for the next Epi. And wit that being said, lets get to the question of the week.
Question of the Week
Do you think the guys that showed up by Glenn are friend or foe?
Ana: Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to leave a comment down below! And answer this weeks question!

Blog Tour: Review: Cider Brook by Carla Neggers

Cider Brook
(Book #3 in the Swift River Valley series)

Amazon | Goodreads | BN

Author: Carla Neggers
Publisher: Harlequin MIRA (January 28, 2014)
Genre:  Contemporary Romance 384 pages

ISBN-10: 0778315886
ISBN-13: 978-0778315889
My Copy: Paperback

SUMMARY:

Being rescued by a good-looking, bad-boy firefighter isn't how Samantha Bennett expected to start her stay in Knights Bridge, Massachusetts. Now she has everyone's attention—especially that of Justin Sloan, her rescuer, who wants to know why she was camped out in an abandoned old New England cider mill.

Samantha is a treasure hunter who has returned to Knights Bridge to solve a 300-year-old mystery and salvage her good name. Justin remembers her well. He's the one who alerted her late mentor to her iffy past and got her fired. But just because he doesn't trust her doesn't mean he can resist her. Samantha is daring, determined, seized by wanderlust—everything that strong, stoic Justin never knew he wanted. Until now…
MY REVIEW:
Sam Bennett: Pirate hunter. I honestly don't know what to think about this one. I'd like to say that it's because this is the third book in the Swift River Valley series, and I haven't read books one and two, but I don't think that's the case. Despite the fact that this is my first book by Carla Neggers and not having read the previous books for this series, I didn't find myself lost at all. So, having said that, yes, you can read this series out of order. Heh. I sure did.
The characters in this book are definitely likeable. Especially the Sloans. I mean, that name, who wouldn't love them? hehe. Justin Sloan: Carpenter, volunteer firefighter and brother to many! lol. Justin's character is extremely straight forward. Keeps this on the straight and narrow. Cuts to the chase, you would say. So when it comes to Sam Bennett, being straight with her and her being not so forthcoming is definitely something to read. I'm not a big fan of this book because the pace was extremely slow and not as action packed as I hoped it would be, but Justin's character definitely made up for it. When he was mentioned, he was MENTIONED! His character takes up the whole page. His bluntness kept things interesting, as Sam wasn't too forthcoming. Which brings me to Sam, I wasn't a big fan of her character, but she was likeable. A bit dull but likeable.
The story as a whole was good. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. Although it was really slow for me, I found it enjoyable. Well written and the character didn't push me to the edge of wanting to just throw the book on the floor and pick up another. Okay, maybe not that far, cause I'd never abuse a book like that but you got my drift, right? Cider Brook is a quaint little town with all of it's citizens knowing one another. Everyone knows who you are, what you're doing, who you're with and what you ate for lunch. With that much knowledge floating around I expected a bunch more drama, which I didn't get. Not even more action with the pirate hunting, which was a bit of a let down. But the characters definitely made up for that and this slow paced beaut kept me interested long enough to finish the book.

Overall, I thought this book was okay. I was expecting a lot of treasure hunting goodness with action and drama but I got quite the opposite. That's not to say that the book wasn't good, it was good. Definitely a nice read for a relaxing day.

Talking Zombies #20 - S04E09-After

Welcome back to another zombified week of Talking Zombies with Ana & Sharonda. Today we will be recapping on Sunday nights episode: S04E09 “After”

Ana: AHH. It has been a long, long, long, long wait!

Sharonda:  So very very long. But I’m glad it’s back on...my TV time has been um, limited to say the least...

Ana: Let me just say this right quick. I was expecting more, but I wasn’t disappointed in last nights epi. What about you, Sharonda?

Sharonda: I wasn’t disappointed. I kinda thought they would go for more of a mellow episode given that the season finale totally kicked all kinds of butt.

So….Ms. BeachBum what did you think of this epi? Any thoughts on Carl, Rick or Michonne? Let me just say that I’m glad we got a lil bit of a back story on her.

Ana: I’m definitely glad we got to see a bit of Michonne’s past. As for Carl and Rick. I thought this was a great epi for those two. Carl thinking he’s “grown” and somewhat blaming his father for all that went down at the prison. He needed this little bit of “reality”. Going out on his own and finally realizing that his dad had his back the whole time. Was doing his best for everyone. It’s not an easy job and I think up until this last epi Carl was taking it for granted.

What about you? What’s your take?

Sharonda: I think you hit the nail on the head. He never had a chance to per say be on his own as he always had Rick and/or Lori with him. He was always surrounded by people who were there to help. But in the same instance, I can see him being somewhat selfish...there's no other was for him to be growing up in this world. But I’m glad he finally got a little sense about him, hell he almost died like what? twice! smh. Its a good thing him and Rick had a little talk...we shall see where they go from here.

Thank you TV gods for given us a little bit of a back story on Michonne, now we know who her “pets” were. They made her a little bit for emotional in this epi and that I’m so glad for...damn, woman even smile...did you see that? So sad she lost her baby...I see why she really didn’t want to be around Judith as much.  And the tears at the end when she saw Rick and Carl...omg, I was so happy for her. I would have hated to see just walking around with a Zombie horde for the rest of her life...thats just not right at all.

Ana:  omfg I know! I cried with her when she finally found Rick and Carl. ^_^ Tears the tears were real! I’m sad that she lost her baby, but I figured she had somewhat of a family when she wouldn’t hold Judith. Speaking of Judith….damn. I’m seriously freaked as to where everyone else ended up. What about you?

Sharonda: Man, listen...its going to get very intense I think. I hope someone picked up Judith...I really hope. But just to see where everyone ended up and then to see how they’re all going to find each other. Girl, I don’t know. I’m excited and scared all at the same time...lols!

Ana: I’m with you. I hope someone picked her up. For her life to have ended like that? I dunno… I’m not feelin’ it. lols. But as for everyone else. Ahhh. We already lost Hershel, they can’t kill anyone else off! I demand everyone lives! DEMAND! lols.

Sharonda: Yeah, I wasn’t happy with that at all. See, this why I say no more babies, not a one. The next time someone goes out on a run, they need to grab some protection or something :)

LMBO! I’m demanding with you. No more lost of lives...at least for now. Give our hearts a break already. I think more of the excitement will come this Sunday.

Ana: lol @ grab some protection or something. True story. But then again, Lori did get preggers waaaay in the beginning… le sigh.

I’m definitely more excited for this Sunday. It’s tooooo far away ;(((

Sharonda: lol! that is true, but still all those runs they did; no one ever thought of that?....lols. Anyways, yep Sunday is taking a bit too long as always. So, who do you think we will see?

Ana: What I was thinking. In all those runs how in the hell is there still baby formula?! sweet Jesus. And diapers o.O But.. whatevas! xD  I think we’ll see the rest of the group for sure. I’m hoping Darryl, lawd knows I miss his ass ♥♥ What about you? Anyone in particular you’re looking forward to seeing?

Sharonda: ROTFL!!!! snort, totally agree and so true *wipes eyes*. Hmmmm, I with you and I hoping they pretty much show everyone and I do hope they put them back as a group soon and don’t drag it the hell out. I dislike when they do that.

Ana: I hope they do as well. I miss them as a whole. We seen how Michonne reacted after finally getting back with Carl and Rick, they’re so dependent on each other now. They’re family! It’s like losing a loved one. I can’t stand the separation! It’s killing me! Slowly! *starts singing* killing me softlyyyyy. lols. okay I’m done.

Sharonda: lols!...hot mess, omg. Yeah, this a family and they need to get back together sooner than later. Next episode would be awesome :D

I’m not singing with you Anna...lols!

Ana:  Haha it’s alright you don’t have to sing with me :p This was a great epi and I’m looking forward to the next! On with the question!

Sharonda: lmbo...Me too and yep, on to the question folks!

Question of the Week
What did you think about this weeks epi?
Ana: Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to leave a comment down below! And answer this weeks question!

Sharonda: Thanks guys! Yes, leave your comments. Let us know what you thought.
