MY REVIEW:
For those of you who don't know, Steve Harvey wrote a book called Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man: What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment This book came out...ah, let's see about 3 years ago. My mom had brought it home, so I was like... "What the hell" and I picked it up. Let me tell you, I absolutely love Steve Harvey. That man is a comical genius! Seriously, I can't help but laugh out loud at all of his movies and stand up's. The book was pretty out there... giving you insight to the guys thought process and all that other good stuff.

On to the movie... Think Like A Man is definitely a comedy. It takes 4 relationships and trails them as the women learn to THINK like a man whilst ACTING like a lady. Though, I don't really agree with what was going on in the movie (what Steve thinks a way to a man's heart and all that jazz) I thought it was funny. Especially if you throw Kevin Harts ol' short ass up in it.

The guys: All of the guys have different "issues" so to speak.
  • You've got the Dreamer (Michael Ealy). This guy is that guy who can't hold down a job and who dreams of becoming whatever it is he dreams. He's your ideal guy. Smart, funny and all out sezzy (gaah but I love his eyes) his problem? He's a dreamer with ambitions and goals that he's too scared to go after. When he catches the eye of a business woman, he changes up his game. Puts on a suit and drives a fancy car (that he took for a spin while working as a valet) and claims the woman who thinks NO man is good enough for her.
  • Next, you've got the Mama's Boy (Terrence Jenkins) and that one is self explanatory. He's all about his mama!
  • Then you've got The Player (Romany Malco) Malco's character knows all about playing the game. And when he's after a girl who was all about giving up the "cookie" on the first date and turns around and reads Think Like A Man to snag a decent man, this player is gonna have to learn to be a bench warmer and not Kobe Bryant.
  • Lastly, we've got The Non-Committer (Jerry Ferrara) Ferraras' character won't commit no way no how, but his longtime girlfriend takes it upon herself to make changes for them. Rearranging redecorating their apartment and puts a "no sex" hold on him til he gets the hint and starts changing his ways.
So, the movie goes on. Chris Brown makes an appearance every so often. Waste of SCREEN TIME!! lol. *shrugs* can you tell I'm not a big fan of his? As the relationships develop, the women are getting more confident and start heavily relying on this book that "changes the game" well, up until the guys find out just what's going on. Hell breaks loose...or does it? And in the end... well, I ain't gonna give away the ending lol.

Kevin Hart definitely adds a lot more funny to the movie. (He's the "happily divorced guy) And if it weren't for him the movie probably would have been a dud for me. It was funny, but hella stupid. If that makes any sense?
