What's In My Christmas Stocking #17

What's In My Christmas Stocking will be a weekly post about all the books & other goodies that I've bought, borrowed or won throughout the month of December!

Ahh. Yay! I do love Christmas time :) I'm all about giving...so, I haven't been spending much... or very little at all. This post will cover the past two weeks. I know, I know I've been slacking. *shrugs* nothing new, right? Without further ado...here's my haul!

Eeek. So... I am extremely excited to read this one. Some of you may know that I've cut myself off from NG...but, when I saw this title I just had to get it! I am a huge Rachel Caine fan and couldn't pass up the chance!
SHOPPING IN COMPTON
lol. Yes, shopping in Compton is not an easy feat. no siree! They say, "never make a wrong turn in Compton." Literally... that shit cray! But, there's a swap-meat out there (and I hope I'm not giving away secrets, because I've known about this place for a long ass time and it's still not over crowded) that have the BEST deals when it comes to comforters. Seriously, I kid you not! Sooo... it's been getting cold here in SoCal (yes, anything below 70 degrees is fecking cold to me) and we went and bought comforters! annnd couldn't help but venture into the perfume shop either.

Bed spread - (fleece, two pillow cases) + a blanket (bought separate... which is hiding under neath my pillows xD) Total: $35.00

This Lust perfume is by... you know what, I have no idea... obviously it's a copy of Sex and the City's perfume, inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker (correct me if I'm wrong here, ladies) There were 2 bottles on the shelf, Lust and Love... I thought Lust smelled a lot better. The packaging is the same and the scent is similar, if not the same, as the original S&TC perfumes.

Lust Perfume: $5.00

Pretty freaking cheap for all this stuff right? Yeah... gotta love Compton xD
LYING AROUND THE HOUSE

Okay, so... I found this big ol' thang sitting oh so prettily on the coffee table earlier this week. My mom tends to bring home books and stuff for me from her co-workers. I am really into zodiac signs, astrology, and all that good stuff. So... when I saw this book, I picked it up and started riffling through it. It's pretty frkn' accurate too. Kinda eerie, but cool at the same time. IF you would like to know what your birthday says about you, just leave a comment in the comment section below and I'll be happy to type it up for you :) It's semi lengthy (each birthday gets a full page) but, like I said... pretty accurate.

That's it for this haul. Did y'all get anything awesome?

  1. I went to a fake purse party (I know lol) and they had the fake sex in the city perfume, it smells really nice! But they were trying to sell it for $30!

    Virgo - 9/20

People born on this date are the ultimate professionals in all they do. Practical and organized, they participate actively in life. These people are "dooers", not "watchers." September 20 natives are so frank and earnest about achieving their desires that they may appear to be opportunistic, but they're just being honest about their feelings. These men and women possess exquisite manners and impeccable good taste.

FRIENDS AND LOVERS:September 20 individuals may have a large circle of friends but they are too canny and wise to trust anyone but those closest to them. Someone in their background may have breaches their trust at one time, making them insecure about confiding their deepest feelings.

These people are highly sexual but they never allow that predilection to dominate their choice of a mate. Rather, they appreciate the partnership aspects of marriage that go beyond mere sexual attraction. Once in a committed relationship, they make every effort to keep it exciting.

CHILDREN AND FAMILY: September 20 people are able to extract the very best of their background and use it to their advantage as adults. No matter what kind of upbringing they experienced as a child, they have the ability to transcend its limitations.

HEALTH: September 20 men and women are the picture of health. They have a practical approach to fitness, which makes their habits a part of everyday life rather than a separate experience. Being careful about their diet is second nature to these disciplined individuals. They enjoy food—healthy food—and may be talented cooks,

These men and women understand the need to combine both the physical and spiritual aspects of good health. Meditation allows them to relax from the stress of daily life and also keeps them feeling and looking youthful.

CAREER AND FINANCES: September 20 people are career-oriented, and may train for many years to perfect their professional skills. They have no problem adhering to the ritual of repetition and can seem to keep their interest in a project no matter how much of their time and effort it consumes.
People born on this date have remarkable money sense. Although they can operate on a very tight budget, these people want a lot more out of life than a regular salary can provide.

DRAMS AND GOALS: People born on this date opten put their plans into action early in life. They see achievement as a long process.
September 20 men and women show amazing single-mindedness about goals. They will gladly sacrifice their social lives, and even their personal lives, in order to make their dreams come true.

EMBRACE: Education, recognition and questioning authority.

AVOID: Blunt speech, emotional bullying and disapproval.
