Feature & Follow #9

Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Each week, each host will have their own Feature Blog which allows them to show off more new blogs! It is a fun way to keep in touch with fellow bloggers, meet new bloggers and gain new followers.

This Weeks Question Is:

Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you've read and loved?
Ohh.. uhmm.. Well, I don't really pick up a book unless I like the cover. *sigh* I know this is all bad. But I just CAN'T HELP IT! And If I didn't like the cover, well.. the book pretty much disappointed me too.
I know I'm probably definitely missing out on some awesome books because of this slight problem that I have. *shrugs* But, that's just how I am. BUT, I am working on that lol.  Now, if this question were reversed.... Yeah.. There'd be a lot of books I'd be mentioning.

What about you? HATE the cover, LOVE the book?

  3. I can't blame you for judging a book by its cover. I think most people must- I do. I mean you can't read the summary of every book that comes out. A summary is usually at least around 1/2 a page to a page; 1000's of books come out every month. If you read all of them, that's a chunky book (500 pages). So, you need some kind of way to sift through all of the books out there. And for me, when it's an unknown book or author, I sort out books by cover.

    2. pretty much. That's how I am too. Which is also how I've gotten to love some of the new authors that I read. If it weren't for the cover I would have never discovered them. Thanks for stopping by <3

  7. That is usually the case with me too. Though, I will give the synopsis a read before I give up on it. The cover does help a lot though.

  8. I do the exact same thing all the time. I always feel really bad, but if the cover isn't appealing I won't love it.

  9. Same here, unless the synopsis on the back sounds really good the cover is usually what draws me in.

    1. lol. eeek. I picked up Magic Bites and tried to read it but I just couldn't get into it. I wasn't all that into the cover either. But I'm thinking it's because I had just finished the BDB series and was looking for something else to dive into.. I am thinking of trying to read it again though.. in time... lol Thanks for stopping by <3

  15. What about books that are in series. Sometimes the first book has a great cover but the next book not so much, but you already know you love the other book so you read it. See there is ways to read books with bad covers. lol

  16. I can completely sympathise with you! Covers which are just bland don't sell the book at all and personally I just don't notice them or dismiss them on the shelf.
