    SUMMARY:
Eternity can suck when it’s all work, work, work. Death harvests souls even when they stack up faster than pancakes in an all-you-can-eat-buffet. No wonder she can’t shed the Grim Reaper rep.

As the patron angel of death and dying, Azrael works closely with Death but is dying for true intimacy. She’s the only immortal who’s ever aroused such powerful emotions in him. One taste of her leaves him needing her like humans need air and food, but will a demon’s lies leave a bad taste?

No one escapes Death – except King Sisyphus. Twice. With the help of Damien the demon, Sisyphus tries again, and she’s determined to have justice. Some say Death’s a bitch, but only when she has to be. But will the price of justice be a broken heart?

    MY REVIEW:
Death Is A Bitch was a fairly easy read, though I did lose interest a few times. I didn't really get a "Bitchy" vibe off of Death, which I was hoping for, she was pretty tame to what I had in mind before diving into this book. Maybe it's just the word bitch that makes people thing "oooh she's bad" or "don't mess with her..." But.. nope, Death was hardly a bitch. Maybe literally, dying, death is a bitch. Then I'd be all like "well, yeah, duuuur"

When you start reading you're introduced to Azrael who is now in charge of the Death and Dying committee (well, that's how I pictured it). He's got the hots for Death, she has the hots for him. But neither will say anything until after a little incident, in which Azrael comes riding flying in with his massive wings and helps Death with a soul that needs harboring. Then, I got lost. They kissed and then BAAAAM, they had awesome Death/Angel sex in the blink of an eye. I was a bit thrown when I read this, I had to go back and make sure I didn't just skip the whole smutty scene. But, alas, there was no smutty scene. But there was a few twirling and rolling around up in the sky. The sex must have been AMAZING, because after that, they were in love. Which made me think "okay, maybe this is a YA book" *insert shrugging here* But as you continue, the word "bitch" is thrown in a few more times, so I'm now thinking "okay, borderline adult book" And then demons with a cock that can split in two and can pleasure a woman beyond belief is thrown at you and then I was shaking my head saying, "Well, dang. demon sex is not YA." So, by the end of the book, I gathered that Death Is A Bitch is for a mature audience.

There was a quite a bit I didn't like about this book, one of those things would have to be the timing of events.(ROVE MOUSE OVER BLANK AREA TO SHOW SPOILER) When Death is trapped in her own cage it seems like such a short amount of time has passed, but when you continue to read and find out there are like a gazillion (slight exaggeration) souls that need to be transported and that gives us a whole different aspect of how much time has passed. That was very confusing to me. As far as the characters, they played a major role in how much I liked and disliked in this book. I didn't really care much for Azrael and Death. But, I did like some of the other characters, namely Damien (that Demon with the two headed cock I mentioned above) and King Sisyphus (ROVE OVER FOR SPOILER) who played a part in Death being trapped in her own cage.

I'm on the fence about recommending this book. It's a really easy book to read and it's only a 113 pages. I'd recommend this book if you need a book to bide your time, but it's not on my "OMG-You-Have-To-Read-This-Book-Now" recommend list. More like my "It-Was-Okay-Not-Great-But-Okay" list. This book is a paranormal book and most definitely an adult book. Unless YA books have matured a lot more since I've last read them.
    MY RATING:

    EXCERPT:
Death stepped from the shadowy curtain of night along a deserted stretch of road toward the mangled hunk of cherry-red metal that used to be a sweet Z240 sports car. Stardust glinted in the black hair that dipped to her waist.
She kept a safe distance from the wreck. Inside, a thirtyish man slumped behind the wheel, the air bag deflating away from his near-lifeless body. Blood oozed from a nasty gash to his head. Should have worn his seat belt. Too late for life lessons, though. Those weren’t her expertise anyway. Just the opposite.
Leaves crackled in the underbrush beyond the nearby trees. Death gripped the silver charm bracelet on her wrist, her senses on high alert. Her finger poised near the hidden latch, ready to release a stream of lightning.
A deer. It stilled, its wide eyes fixed on her.
Seeing nothing else, she continued with a modicum of caution. Taking souls didn’t exactly make her popular, and after so many millennia, she should’ve been used to it. The bad jokes. The Halloween parodies. A scythe? Please. She’d never used cheap props. Only the finest weaponry. No mortal ever suspected the intricately designed baubles adorning her bracelet were anything more than ornamental.
Moonlight gleamed off the curves of the sports car, and she ran a gilded nail along its hood. She wouldn’t mind taking one of these babies for a spin. In its former condition, of course, before this guy took the curve too fast and wrapped it around a tree. Humans always rushed everywhere, sometimes straight into her arms.
The man’s moan signaled she had no need for weapons. This one would give her no trouble. She fingered his blond hair, matted with blood. What a shame. So young, and so handsome. He’d leave at least one lover grieving, no doubt.
His eyes fluttered open. When he looked up, recognition intensified the flicker of life in his eyes.
She needed no introduction. They always knew her, unmistakable in the glimmering black filament gown, its folds revealing a glimpse into infinity.
The stilettos usually earned a second glance, the four-inch heels glistening like fool’s gold. The butterfly tattoo spanning her upper arm likewise drew curious looks, which inevitably changed to horror when the souls recognized the face imprinted within that colorful ink: their own.
